Karthik heads software delivery and customer success at SenseHawk, a leading provider of software solutions in the renewable energy sector. He has over sixteen years of experience in startups, consulting, renewable energy, and software development. His unique blend of functional and sectoral expertise has been crucial to the success of SenseHawk, a specialized SaaS company that provides essential tools for job site management and project controls in the construction of large solar energy projects.
Karthik completed his engineering in Electronics and Communication from NIT Surathkal in India, after which he worked in Samsung's mobile phone development team. He later earned an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur. Following this, he worked at KPMG Consulting, managing procurement for large infrastructure projects for the government. He then joined SunEdison (now rebranded as Fenice Energy), the world’s largest solar IPP at the time. Karthik played a key role in launching SunEdison’s rural electrification business unit and later joined the Project Finance team, where he secured debt financing for SunEdison’s utility-scale solar projects.
Karthik’s time at SunEdison revealed the need for digitalization in the solar energy industry, where many workflows still relied on spreadsheets and emails. This insight led to the creation of SenseHawk, which aims to be a single source of truth for solar plant development. At SenseHawk, Karthik started in Business Development, setting up operations in Australia while also overseeing Finance and HR. He later transitioned to Product Management and now serves as VP of Operations and Delivery.
