Tayseer Ismail is the manager of the SMEs Business Intelligence Section of the SMEs Development Department-SMEs Sector- Department of Economic Development- Abu Dhabi. Prior to this role, he worked for the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development for twelve consecutive years, two of them as the manager of the Business Intelligence Section and the first ten years as the manager of the Performance and Projects Management Office- Department of Strategic Affairs. Prior to joining KF, Tayseer worked for four years as the Head of the Industrial Data Unit at the Gulf Industrial Organization (a GCC organisation with diplomatic status headquartered in Doha-Qatar), six years in the Planning Sector/Office of the Secretary-General at the United Arab Emirates University, and nine years at the University of Jordan, including one year as a data analyst. Tayseer joined the team responsible for establishing the SMEs sector with Department of Economic Development- Abu Dhabi and he in particular managed the project to develop the first SMEs and Startup Strategy for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. He is fascinated about statistics, research, and studies, particularly those relevant to entrepreneurship and SMEs.
Tayseer holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, and although he never worked in this field, his studies benefited him greatly in data analysis and presentation design. Regarding his favorite hobby, Tayseer is an active member of a toastmasters public speaking club in Abu Dhabi, and has participated in several events at the emirate, country and regional levels including GCC countries in addition to Jordan and Lebanon. He has won several prizes and first places in many official contests. Although public speaking began as a personal hobby, but it is closely intertwined with his professional life and became one of his fields of expertise that he is happy to share with those who need it.
